i really really really wanna thank God for net outreach on friday :D
and jojo lulu wawa han for coming down,
and timothy and nigel for being there to add on to all the fun and everything.

food was alright, i forgot to let them eat the icecream and open the chips -.-
and had lots of leftovers, like always,
taboo was CRAZILY STINKING AWESOME,
then had a short message plus freaking emo session.

BUT. i really wanna thank yall for being so open to listen and accept all these emo stuff,

re-camp was quite fun, especially on the 2nd day.
1st day was quite sian though.

amazing race was super good, especially the climb to mt faber,
when we cheered each other on.
shopping at giant made food there seemed so good for the first time.

buffet dinner was of course great.
fire drill obviously sucked, i was finally able to sleep.

but everyone was great both the 17th and 18th.

aww gawd i hate school.
apart from the fact that i get to see my friends.

well it's only january and im already anticipating that 2009's gonna be one exciting years.
so many news.
so many stories.
so many things that has/ had happened.

well it's weird. totally weird. o.O

and i kinda hate the workshops we have to attend now cause its super boring.

some quick updates:

class chalet was TORTUROUS.
i freaking rented a bicycle overnight just to plainly torture myself,
cycling for 5-6 hours from ECP all the way to changi village and back to ecp,
and crossing the never-ending road plus spraining my toe.

CRAZY.

and so much for the ungentleman-ess of some guys who refused to give up their beds for the girls WHO are partly responsible for my lost of voice.
and for me zao-xiaing in almost every sentence which i speak now.

you laugh. yes you.

then was the collection of HMT results,
and yes THANK GOD for the wonderful results and so long cheena,
im so not gonna use chinese for the resy of my life.
o.O

and then was our unconscious attempt to look like we're emoing.
jo lulu and i,
then we moved to the treehouse where MORE people intruded,
gerald marc kailiang renjie sandesh and moses.

so we crapped.
and i zao xia-ed.

australia's so much fun that i dont wanna come back to singapore anymore :(
i miss everything in australia.
the people, the weather, the food .

DAY ONE: TOUCHDOWN, QUEEN VICTORIA MARKET, LYGON STREET, WALK WALK WALK .
thankyou han mich and jojo for sending me off!
plane ride was about 7 hours before reaching melbourne.
well the trip was kinda delayed,
but thank God for good food and movies to enjoy on the plane.

reached the airport and had o help this grandma to get out.
well she couldnt speak english , so i had to help.
so we reached mercure hotel, well it's kinda lousy -.-
but thank God we only stayed there for a day.
whew.

we wanted to get on the city tram but there wasnt any tram so early -.-
so we went to queen victoria market!
mummy loved it so much!
there was so much to see, clothes, food, souveneirs :D

and the weather was lovely!

then we went shopping at melbourne central, david jones, myers,
but there wasnt anything much, or maybe we were too worn out from all the walking.

and went back to our hotel to catch a nap cause we were too tired :D
then walked to lygon street!
they had super good food there.
at tiamo's, and il fredo's gelato!
yum! they had super unique flavours!
i chose ferero and mars flavour for my gelato!
and they had great italian food there yeah!

DAY TWO: YHA HOSTEL, DFO, CITY TOUR.
transferred to another hotel early in the morning.
YHA hostel was super good!
there was a kitchen where we could prepare our own breakfast,
a dining area, computers and even a pool table!

then we went a DIRECT FACTORY OUTLET at spencer street!
but we were quite upset cause there wasnt any billabong, ripcurl or quiksilver shops there :(
nonetheless, we got stuff :D
at good prices :D
should have went to essendon instead :l

and we went to the yarra river,
but we missed the last ferry by just 5 minutes!
damn!
so we couldnt take the yarra river cruise :(
and we decided to take the city tour bus instead :D

too much walking wasnt good for our feet :D

and we went to the NIGHT MARKET!
well there was so many people and so much good food!
lovely atmosphere!
the funny thing was, they even sell croc, kangaroo and emu meat there o.o
scary and of course we didnt dare to try!

we ate oysters! really really fresh oysters!
and scallops and chips!
they were uber uber uber yummy and fresh!

DAY THREE: GREAT OCEAN ROAD, TOOTHACHE.
had to wake up super early that morning to for the great ocean road tour.
well we had a great tour guide cum driver!
he was one funy fellow!

there was so much good stuff there,
nice beach, mice weather, nice forest trails, nice sceneries!
we saw the 12, no 11 apostles!
and the fallen london bridge!

the funny thing was i had toothache!
grarrr!
and i couldnt eat dinner and had to survive on swallowing yoghurt -.-
i was so afraid that i had wisdom tooth and i couldnt eat all the yummy food for the rest of the trip :(
mummy and sis prayed for me and THANK GOD it was healed the very next day!
yummy food here i come!

the good thing about free and easy trips is that we weren't restricted to any time limits and we got to explore everything ourselves!
abit like drifters yeah!
took their public transport,
live like their locals do.
well everything went smoothly, the weather, the transport, the food,
and thank God for that :D

and we met several people from different countries too!
germans, koreans, japanese, americans, english, and even a brazillian!
cool man!

DAY FOUR: PHILLIP ISLAND, PENGUINS PENGUINS and MORE PENGUINS!
penguins!

well we had a uber nice guide again,
and that day we had lots of fun with animals!

we fed kangaroos,
saw koalas, wombats,
and many many other animals!
i love they joeys! they were uber uber cute!
they was this albino joey in its mama's pocket, and it was uber cute!

and we went to a CHOCOLATE FACTORY!
OMGOMGOMG!
had this uber nice CHOCOLATE SHOT which was just plain melted chocolate and it was OMG super duper YUMMY!
i wanna have another one!

went of to another beach and had lots of fun there again!
they had super nice and soft sand, and the water was uber clear but super cold :D

went to see the nobbies,
but saw many seagulls and other animals instead of a single seal -.-
we saw penguins, rabbits, even lizards, and kangaroos!
and it was uber uber cold :D

FREE pizzas for dinner!
i had this seafood one whic was uber good cos they had like oysters and scallops on it :D
lovely!

then we went to catch the penguin parade!
they were uber uber cute!
like seeing the many many squads they form, and hem stupidly following one leader,
and when they came out,
if one of them starts running back to the ocean,
the others will follow!
its ultimate stupidity but ultimate cuteness!
and super laughable!
too bad we couldnt take photosthere :(

and we saw many penguins returning back to their homes :D
reached home uber late,
and sadly that was gonna be our last night in melbourne :(

DAY FIVE: SYDNEY, PADDY'S MARKET, MARKET CITY, MORROCIAN DINNER!
went to QV for the very last time again before leaving :(

went to the airport and self checked in,
sat on the qantas plane for one hour before reaching sydney.

well sydney.
was kinda much messier.
roads were narrower, dirtier, but still nicer than singapore :D
our hotel was damn good!
it was near he darling harbour and central station, what's more a two min walk from paddy's market!
saw jordan foo wen bin!
and walked at the paddy's market which was quite messy.
i preferred queen victoria's market though :D

and had our first chinese meal at market city!
rice yum rice!
there were other factory outlets there,
and got quite a good deal at cotton on!
LOL!

then met sis christine and her fiance, max, and bro simon for dinner!
it was great!
first time eating morrocian food :D
great ambience, just that it was raining.
but thank God it rained only on that day!

went back to the hotel and managed to catch school of rock!
and had a great night's sleep :D

DAY SIX: HILLSONGS CHURCH, CITY TOUR, OPERA HOUSE, HABOUR CRUISE, THE ROCKS!
had a nice breakfast at the hotel, and went to the hillsongs' church early in the morning!
it was uber awesome man.
got a free bible!
ad nice postcards too!
they had awesome worship and a fantstic speaker!
our church just cant compare to theirs!

then went to the central station and took a train to circular quay,
took many many photos there!

went to the rocks and had pancakes there!
i had chocolate pancakes! yummy!
went to the market there and walked,
seen the harbour bridge but didnt do the bridge climb cause it was too long , 3.5 hours and it was too expensive!
too the captain cook's harbour cruise!
was super good,
just that there were some uber annoying chinese on board whom spoke so loudly and literally pushed people away so that they could capture photos.
grahh.

and went to the opera house,
and i must say the outside is much more beautiful than the insides -.-
didnt catch any shows there cause they all seemed kinda boring.

and went to the royal botanic gardens!
which said: please walk on the grass, hug the trees and smell the flowers!
the grass was uber soft that we could just stop and sit or even lie on the ground anytime when we're tired!
it was uber nice and the flowers were uber beautiful!

then walked back to our hotel and walked around chinatown.
ate chinese dinner AGAIN.

DAY SEVEN: NELSONS BAY, DOLPHINS, SAND BOARDNING!
yet another day tour,
but this time round it wasnt as good as the one in melbourne :(
slept most of the time on the bus and it was seriously kinda waste of time.

had subway for lunch!
then sat on another cruise to see pathetically few dolphins and got ourselves tan instead.
there were more that time in perth at bunbury :(
went into the captain's room and i steered the wheel !
bahaha :D

went to some sand dunes,
and did sand boarding!
it was uber fun going down, but really bad climbing up the slope cause it was uber tiring!
did like 5 times :D
and ate sand =.=
then we got to clear ourselves up at some beach :D

and went back to the hotel .
was nothing much really.

DAY EIGHT: BLUE MOUNTAINS, JENOLAN CAVES, STEAMBOAT!
another day tour, and we had a uber lousy guide for that day.
couldnt hear a single word he was speaking and he actually asked us to stop talking so that we could hear what he was saying.

saw the three sisters,
took the world's steepest tram ride down and went for the forest trail.
was kinda fun there :D
but so much walking again!

then went to the jenolan caves,
and more walking and climbing!
but it was really awesome seeing the stuff in the caves,
and our guide there was really friendly :D
it was kinda scary though without lights on :l

had a uber nice chocolate mousse there and ate lunch by the blue lake :D
and after the jenolan caves we headed back to the hotel!

and we met up with our distant relatives!
my cousin's counsins who stayed in sydney!
we had steamboat nearby our hotel,
and ate really spicy food :D
and my cousins were really friendly and funny!
really had a great time then :D

DAY NINE: MUMMY'S BIRTHDAY! DFO, BONDI, COUSIN'S HOUSE!
it was mama's birthday!
and sis and i got her a bag from nine west,
and we both made beautiful cards for her :D
took the train to strathfield and went to the DFO at himebush first thing in the morning as early as it was opened!
couldnt get enough of shopping until we got our bilabong and ripcurl stuff!
got cheap slippers, clothes and accessories there,
the next thing you know, it was already noon.

then trained down to bondi!
went to bondi beach,
well there wasnt anything much other than a uber nice arc of 1km beach.
suntanned there for a while but didnt go any darker -.-

went for the coastal walk, but we were too tired to complete the walk so headed back and trained down to doonside where our cousins stayed!
they had a beautiful little home,
at some countryside :D
and they got mama a cake!
so we celebrated mum's bday there,
then went for dinner at some family restaurant.

and my cousin got us this really huge bag of gums!
imagine my cousin, who's the same age as i am, could drive a car.
im so pissed and jealous!
grahh!

then was farewell :(
i'll miss them yes i will, and it was the last night in sydney,
in australia,
and yes i will miss australia :(

DAY TEN: PADDY'S MARKET, FISH MARKET, DARLING HARBOUR, HOMEBOUND.
went for some last minute shopping for souveneirs,
and walked to darling harbour and the fish market.

oh there ws so much fishy smell there but the seafood there was SUPER GOOD!
we had salmon sashimi, fish and chips and calamari rings!
there was so much that we couldnt finish!
and we chat with some random vancouver guy while eating :D
coolness.

then went back to our hotel and prepared to fly back home.
sad. im so sad.

so after 8 hours of flight we finally reached singapore,
and i still cant get use to the weather here now.
i want australia :(

INDIA TRIP 08

IM TELLING YA INDIA WAS DAMN GOOD :D
SERIOUSLY.

DAY ONE: TAKE OFF!
most of our class people came down to send us off.
so sweet!
and we walked from t2 to t3 to get mr bean ice cream,
took photos and all that :D

well to be honest, i wasn't quite anticipating the India trip.
oh well it was just gona be another 10 days.

sat with wadee and indri on the sq plane.
my roomies!
and it was a new sq plane so the seat was super comfy and big and the food was finger lickin' good!
watched two movies!
and i finally watch DARK KNIGHT AND MAMA MIA!
WHY SO SERIOUS!
ok i know im damn lag T_T
and the songs in MAMA MIA WAS UBER GOOD.
it got the girls obsessed with singing throughout the whole trip :D

and guess what,
the day before india trip was prom,
and the day before prom was cheena o levels.
reached home at 2-3am on the day of prom,
HAD NO SLEEP AT ALL CHIONING THE FRIGGIN ESSAY,
and spammed movies throughout the flight.
that means,
NO SLEEP FOR ALMOST 48 HOURS.
record sia!

TOUCH DOWN!
made our way to HOTEL GOOD TIMES WHICH IS NOT GOOD TIMES AT ALL.
the room is uber small,
the toilet is uber scary,
the flush is super retarded,
and the floor is super dusty,
but THANK GOD FOR BIG BEDS :D

and finally slept (:

DAY TWO: DEHLI CITY TOUR
breakfast was quite nice at the rooftop,
but the air in india is choking.
super polluted can!
and i started the trend of saying grace!

THANK GOD I DIDNT GET DIARRHOEA THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TRIP :D

went pass many places which i couldnt remember.
we got a super good looking tour guide on that day!
went to some temple,
ohoh and we had to take out our shoes so often T_T

which made my socks turn black and stink so badly.

and went to some muslim temple etc,
the lotus temple with two minutes of unbearable silence,
shopping at some emporium which was uber unfruitful because they think students like us have friggin lots of money,
then went to some cottage shop instead and got two prettaye shawls which i made me feel cheated now.

and lots and lots of camwhore!
lunch was at this super uber cool place!
the whole restaurant was made of antiques.
there was a car with all the buffet dishes there,
and lots and lots of other cool stuff.

INDIAN DISHES ARE DELICIOUS.
I LOVE CHEESE.
I LOVE CURRY.
I LOVE ICE CREAM.

and dinner was then at some chinese restaurant.
AND IM TELLING YOU THEY SERVE BETTER CHINESE FOOD THEN SOME CHINESE DO.

DAY 3: AGRA, TAJ MAHAL, RED FORT, FEAR
had to wake up super uber early that day,
and we all woke up late so we ended up not having breakfast -.-
went to the train station which was hell crowded and scary.
it was uber dirty, uber jam, just plain madness.

we got a first class train which was air conditioned whereas other trains had many people squeezing into a non-air conditioned compartment which looked super unhygenic.

that was just the beginning.

when we reached agra,
there were so many street kids.
even me just holding a bottle of water,
they kept following us, just wanting a bottle of water which i guess most of us would definitely love to give to them instead of lugging it throughout the whole journey,
or just ONE RUPEE which is like Sing $0.03 cents?

yet we couldnt give.
it got a few of us crying. it was really pitiful.

it was scary.

and yuhan and mich wore saris that day.
so many people kept starring and laughing at them which was indeed quite irritating.
this day was quite dull. everyone got quite sian, even of camwhoring.

oh and wadee's camera is damn imba :D

the people in agra were slightly more aggressive which i didnt really like.
the shopowners or salesmen kept pestering us to buy their items,
which was kinda irritating.
they kept following us and blocking our ways.
even the tour guide was trying to help his fellow mates earn money,
that again,
irritating.

buffet lunch at some restaurant,
and buffet dinner at some open air restaurant.
dinner was really great.
it was a candle light dinner!

super cool, cause we ended up having music and everyone started dancing in the end.
it was super lively, and for the first time i felt that the group started to come together.

lovely.
that was probably the nicest dinner.
and nicest night.

took the train back again,
despite of a whole bunch of noisy kids on the train,
i slept throughout the whole journey.

and got my shoes stained.
my shoe turned uber black.
funny how 10 days in india could get my shoe so black that even wearing it for months in spore couldnt turn my shoe that dirty.

DAY 4: CHECKOUT, AMEX CALL CENTRE, MUMBAI!
FINALLY GOT OUT OF THAT ULU HOTEL.
went a long journey to amex call centre,
and the driver got lost on the way.

but had a nice sleep as usual :D

MET SANDESH AT AMEX CALL CENTRE!
uber cool luh.
and they sell cheap and yummy chocolate muffins there!
YUM!
wasnt anything special at amex,
just found it amazing that the Indians there were so highly trained and equipped with different languages as well as IT skills.

India is really full of controversies.
around amex area was so developed,
so urbanised with alot of high rise buildings,
yet in dehli the streets were just so messy.

so went for lunch at some ulu restaurant that only had the few of us dining there.
then went to take a domestic flight to mumbai.

and BASKIN ROBINS ROCKS LUH!
is uber cheap and uber good!
plut jet airways was super comfy too :D

tai ti-ed with lesli and benjamin on the plane, and stupid leslie kept winning.
gave up in the end and we all slept -.-

dinner was at some place near our new hotel,
and the food was good.
sitting with the guys was good, cos we could just throw them all our unfinished food :D

HOTEL GODWIN IS REALLY GOD-LIKE!
is was damn comfy!
and the best thing was there was CABLE TV!
watched HOLLOWMAN!

then was supposed to work on out cultural night performance and presentation,
ended up wasting time on our script and watching THE PRESTIGE!
CHRISTIAN BALE IS SO HANDSOME :D :D :D
and everyone fell asleep working on the script -.-

DAY 5: LIGHTS, CAMERAS, ACTION! BOLLYWOOD!
breakfast was uber yummy :D
gosh i havent drank a single sip of milk till that day!

went around to different places to see how bollywood films were made.
first stop was at the shooting ground,
we saw some actors and actresses whom we didnt know that were actors and actresses,
witnessed the shooting of a drama serial,
got so bored that we decided to do our own MV!
was super funny and cool :D

then went for lunch at this restaurant which served sooo many nice icecream!
first was mango, then was butterscotch, and then strawberry!
made me eat 3 scoops of icecream luh!

and went of to a recording studio,
where all the music and songs are done.
jojo wadee indri xinchen and moses went to try out the recording system.
haha it was quite horrendous :D
the teachers were soo much better!

then the dance studio where they teach acting and dance.
was super cool cos they got different people to act and dance for us.
so emotional luh gosh.

and dinner was at some ali baba clay oven!
where the tables and chairs were uber mini -.-
cute luh i guess.

went back to the hotel and got the video filmed,
had lots of fun i guess (:

DAY 6: ELEPHANTA CAVES, BOOKS, RAJKOT, HOT ENGLAND CRICKET GUY OMG!
had to checkout of the prettaye hotel,
which i couldnt bear to leace :(

went to elephanta caves,
had to take a boat ride for an hour before reaching there,
and we were so bored that jo and i started singing christian songs (:

elephanta caves was a temple for the hindu god shiva,
it was uber cool cos the whole temple was carved out from stone and there were hell lots of pigeons there and jo got so freaked out :D

was given free time to look around there,
but we ended up shopping along the steps (120 steps) and bargaining so much!
im so sad that i didnt have time to buy my shades which was only 50 rupees ($1.50?)

boat ride back was spent spamming wadee's iphone game.
ianimal!
im so sad cause i didnt get to finish the fame and i was so close to high-scoring it!

went to some book store,
which of course i didnt spend a single penny there even though the books there were so much cheaper.
i know i would end up not reading the books, so didnt buy any.

lunch was good, we had many new dishes,
and they had CHOCOLATE BROWNIES AND CHOCOLATE MOUSSE!
which of course, i spammed!

went on city tour,
and out guide was uber funny :D
went to dhoby ghat, some open laudry washing area which was uber cool,
and another temple, drove past a university which was so prettaye.

then had to take a flight to rajkot.
and GUESS WHAT.
WE HAD THE ENGLAND CRICKET NATIONAL TEAM ON THE SAME FLIGHT AS US!

despite the fact that dinner was some mac veggie burger =.=

which was like uber cool luh omg!

flight to rajkot was quite fast,
and we rally received a warm welcome at the airport.
our host family came down to fetch us as well as other school teachers.
it was quite surprising as i had never received such warm welcoming before.

made our way to LOVELY HOTEL SEASONS!
played the whole night through,
almost the whole group of us.
we had loads of fun playing the different crazy card games!
slept at 3am,
and everyone ended up like zombies the next morning.

DAY 7: SNK SCHOOL, MORE SHOPPING, CULTURAL NIGHT, SHOCK.
obviously almost everyone missed breakfast (again) cos of all the late night fun.
but guess what!
we had packed breakfast from our beloved host!
mich and i had the same host: nupur!
she's super wonderful and her mum really makes yummy dishes!

i forgot to mention that rajkot was a vegetarian town.

they had the guys bball match,
and obviously we got thrashed.
then yuhan went over to take a photo with no. 13 and got everyone in the school cheering and all that. haha!
saw more of the indian scholars, including shreya!
super cool :D

then we did pottery,
ended up getting our hands uber dirty,
and the tie and dye.
so we made our own shawls with prettaye colors!

lunched with nupur and her sister kajal at a restaurant.
and they had SIZZLING HOT CHOCOLATE BROWIES COVERED WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF CHOCOLATE :D :D :D

that was the beginning of amazement.

fact #2: THERE WAS A GUITAR IN MY HOST's HOUSE!
and i actually got to play a guitar in india! wooots!

went shopping with mich and nupur then,
got a couple of indian tees and bags so next time during racial harmony we could all wear them!
then went off for cultural night,
which i though was kind of a screw up on our part.

the indian dances and shows were super duper good,
but this boy fell from a height while doing a stunt and he got concussion after that i think,
yet they carried on the show when all of us were like totally stunned.
our presentation was kinda dry and i kinda screw up, not having light to see my script =.=
and our video was kinda cold cause no one seemed to be laughing.

budget film -.-

still, we had a good night sleep and michelle pok never bathe and slept like a piggy!
super comfy at nupur's house :D

DAY 8: CITY TOUR, SIESTA!
didnt really had much to do that day.
basically looked rouund the school, talkied to more of the indian students who spontaneously came up to us to chat and get our autographs (like o.o)

went back to nupur's house for lunch and caught abit of the cricket match,
but of course england team got thrashed by the Indians.
slept.
slept.
slept.

woke up, scooter-ed back to school!
super cool luh!
was very windy but sand particles kept flying into my eye.

then had the city-tour,
to different temples, gandhi's house, and the doll museum which was opened by my host's dad!
cool right!

scooter-ed back home and had dinner.
and slept again.

the trip was ending.

DAY 9/10: GIRLS BBALL MATCH, FAREWELL, FOOLING AROUND AT SEASONS, HOMEBOUND.
had yummy maggie noodles for breakfast :D
im so sad that im not able to eat those yummy food that my host's mum prepares anymore :(
she actually got me to like eating veggie.
i repeat:
I ACTUALLY LIKED EATING VEGGIE.

bball match,
was kinda stupid, we got thrash,
and the cold air was super choking, plus super slippery floor which i couldnt imagine no one has fell and got injured other than jojo.

we had farewell and a long reflection after that.
im so gonna miss india :(

then headed to seasons to fool around for our last time,
played crazy games and made hell lot of noise till we were chased out of the hotel to the greener side which was even nicer than the hotel.
we all played crazily.
and we were one.

no one had the appetite for dinner,
and guess what, mr boy actually said grace for all of us!

headed off to the airport, the SNK people were there to send us off again.
it was super nice, and super hard to leave.
well we all had fun.

new and stronger friendships were forged i guess.
10 days passed by so fast. and in another week's time im flying off again :D

even the teachers who were amazingly nice to us throughout the whole trip :D

the subject that i hated, note "hated", the most was chem,
in the end i scored the best for chem out of all the sciences.

wads more disappointing is missing A by 0ne-two marks :(

but humanities is SO UBER DISGUSTING.
i realised im such a humanities person today.

2. i've not slept earlier than 12am for the whole of this week! eyebags!
3. i slept at 4am this morning just to complete fishing RM research paper!
4. all the search engines (or rather google related sites) are inaccessible with any computers at home! (wonder how im blogging now?) (and wonder how i complete a research paper without google?)
5. i slept 4hours straight after i got home from national day celeb today! sleep is loove!
6. i had to stand outside the arcade in my sch uni while my church peeps were playing the bball thingy in there. i wanna play too :X

im mentally and physically exhausted over this week.
im SO GLAD that 3 tests are over,
totally screwed cause of having to memorise 120 long cheena phrases,

saturday was fun on foot,

me, mich, ed and kailiang ran ALL OVER THE PLACE.
went to 15 out of the 24 places listed, not bad actually.

the bladdy 2nd placing only went to 10 places, or so i heard.

and sunday was youth net rally!
we got funny games and yes, BOTAK JONES!
the burger was UBER HUGE luh.

and yesterday was supposed to be racial harmony celebration i think.
well at least it didnt feel like we were having any celebration.

i thank You for bringing me where I am today.
i thank You for not giving up on me when there were numerous times i thought of giving up on You.

there are millions or billions of Christians out there, losing one believer, it doesnt really make a difference, does it?
yet in Your eyes, are single soul matters a great deal.
You seeked for us, yet we turned away so many times.

the many times that i were in trouble, You lifted me out of it.
the countless times i have did something wrong, You forgave me.
the times when i feel alone and sad, You were always by my side.
You were always my friend.
You always loved me.

and yet many of times, i kept asking for more, more and more.
but what i have i given to you?

and when things got out of hand, things didnt go the way that i like,
things didnt turn out well for me,
everything just seemed to be against me.
requests seemed to be rejected,
wishes just dont seem to come true.
and then i ask: is there really a God?
why does God want us to suffer when He loves us so much?
why isnt God answering my prayers?

and i started to give up.
until i asked myself: what have i given to You?

if God can be there for me and everyone else 24/7,
why is it so difficult to spend just at least an hour a day,
reading devotions, praying,
why is it so difficult to pay tithes on time to extend God's kingdom,
why is it so difficult to give up just a teeny weeny bit of my life for You?

realising millions or even billions of Christians out there,
but You do not fail to meet everyone of our prayer.
if our one God can do so much for us,
what's more ONE believer can offer to just ONE almighty God.

You told me to cast all my burdens to You and do not worry.
You wanted me to carry a strong faith.
You created obstacles in my life as a test of my faith.

im sorry for the countless times i've doubted Your existence and Your capability.

i came to realise that alone i could never have truly succeeded in anything in my life.

many ask me, why need religion?
is there really a God?

they chose to believe in what they can see.
but i chose to believe in the unseen.
im proud to say that i am a follower of Christ.

do i just want any god so that i can obtain enlightenment and just be a good citizen?
do i want any god just because im desperate to find a substituent in my life?

im telling you, the one and only God i believe in,
He is the Way, the Truth and the Light.
i believe in Him and i love Him because He first loved us.
im not just some religious maniac or whatever,
but i believe in the Truth.

i cannot tell you that i've witnessed or actually seen God out there,
or do i promise that if you have God in your life, everything will go smoothly from now onwards.
but if You really ever wondered if there is a God out there who really cares and loves you,
stop doubting.

it all boils down to faith.

Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?'

'Er...yes,' the student says.

'Is Satan good?'

The studen t doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'

'Then where does Satan come from?'

The student falters. 'From God'

'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there evil in
this world?'

'Yes, sir.'

'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything, correct?'

'Yes.'

'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created everything,
then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle
that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'

Again, the student has no answer. 'Is there sickness? Immorality?
Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?'

The student squirms on his feet. 'Yes.'

'So who created them?'

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question.
'Who created them?' There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks
away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized.<>
'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in Jesus
Christ, son?'

The student's voice betrays him and cracks. 'Yes, professor, I do.'

The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you use to

can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any

'N ow tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a

'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes,

The class breaks out i nto laughter.

'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the

have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable,
demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due
respect, sir.'

'So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?'

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face
unreadable.

Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I guess you'll
have to take them on faith.'

'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life,'
the student continues.

'Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?'

Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We see it
everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in
the multitude of crime and violenc e everywhere in the world. These
manifestations are nothing else but evil.'

To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does
not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.

It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe
the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what
happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart.
It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that
comes when there is no light.'

woke up 830 in the morning just to breakfast at ikea T_T

past few weeks has been hectic.
too fast. seemed like yesterday.

went missing for the whole of last week and spent the loveliest and one of my most relaxing days in malaysia for church camp as well as for a break for myself.

well church camp was themed 'fresh passion'.
was really good i must say, though the hotel food was rather sucky and the room was uber small.
and the fact that i was really unhappy that there were only two single beds where four people were to sleep in there,
but we were blessed!
the hotel stuff actually provided us 2 free matresses when it cost RM50 for one extra bed!
thank GOD! :D

but still, the food was bad.
i think my family got food poisoning from it -.-

malaysia's great. really.
though it's been a yearly routine that i havta go there once or twice a year and sometimes i do get bored of it.
3 movies in 1 and a half week!
chronicles of narnia, indiana jones and kungfu panda! xD xD
and yes all of them were uber good and the price is like o.o
2 tickets bought in msia = 1 in spore.

though there were many sales and stuff going on in malaysia,
didnt really get anything much.
ooh i love their MNG there :D
and yes i bought dunkin donuts!
and they have another donut called baked apple i think, were super good too!
they had this donut which was filled with so much chocolate, that one bite in it, the chocolate comes oozing out o.o
BUT.
i feel so sinful throwing away TWO donuts cause i didnt have any appetite on the 2nd last days.
i fell sick luh T.T
had fever and yes, i missed one of the sessions, sleeping in the hotel and literally dragging myself to open the hotel room door when there came knocks on the door.
sick.

now back in singapore.
past two days have been spent doing ihp with yuhan!
monday was quite a joke.
we went to maxell food centre uber early in the morning,
told the aunty selling tapioca that we were going to interview and video her,
we on the video cam,
2 seconds later,
the video cam spoilt.
T.T

so we literally wasted our time at maxell.
bleh.
so we bus-ed down to sim lim square to try our luck and have the camera fixed.
but :(
luckily we met really nice people that day, the stall tenant, random people on the street, they were all very friendly!
never knew that there were friendly singaporeans out there too =X

we walked alot that day. from maxell to people's park, past chinatown.
it's almost like amazing race, walking past so many places which i havent really been before.
or i've forgotten.

then we went to national library, for my VERY FIRST TIME.
haha suaku.
it was rather cool there,
they had so many comics and graphic novels!
borrowed kindaichi (some mystery solving case comic which was like my childhood favourite).
great :D

then we went back to people's park again,
and lunched with my mummy at the hawker there :D
the food there is super good luh =X

and finally went home.

then we went videoing yesterday, which is like one day after,
because we managed to borrow a videocam super fast, thank GOD!
and went down super early again,
did the interview,
and yes the stall tenants are uber uber nice!!

we interviewed this oyster cake stall aunty,
and she even gave us free oyster cakes for interviewing her luh! :D :D
how nice.

went off to han's house to edit video,
and played with her pers, so many luh.
her dog and her bird. damn cute luh :D
and her sister also haha.
but didnt really do much cause the comp kept hanging on us. T.T

then today.
freaking nusis.
haha literally shot my personal worst.
really gave up totally on the shoot that i even had the urge to walk out after my first 10 shots.
i was horrrrrrible. average 6.7 i think. crazy right. a total drop of 1.5.
haha.
then coach was like talking to me damn seriously, asking me when i was gonna go back to train.
seriously.
i dont know. i can only say this week i seriously have no time.
sorry luh.

but got over it quite soon and could still laugh about it at home.
haha that's family power :D
